Married for many years, one adult daughter, two cats. We, the parental units, live in a small late Victorian cottage. It's a bit high maintenance, so that counts as a hobby. My activities lean to the unconventional, if one's idea of conventionality is golf in warm weather and alpine skiing in winter. In summer we kayak. The default location is here on the North Shore. We've also done some up-country flat water, and the Thousand Islands area and Rideau Lakes in Ontario. We do white water only when necessary. Lately, my winter recreation has been fitness swimming. I'm a not-too-active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and attend Renaissance faires. My related activities are traditional archery and 14th-16th century tailoring.
